Company History
AltaPhilippines was founded in2021asasmall businesswith abigvision — tobring high-quality, genuine leather shoes handcrafted by the veteran shoemakers of Marikina to the modern Filipino consumer.
What began as a humble online venture selling just 1 to 2 products has grown into a recognized national brand. Alta Philippines believed early on that the future of retail was online. The company first launched through platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and its official website, showcasing its products digitally. However, many customers were hesitant to purchase shoes online, especially without trying them on.
To overcome this, Melvin Pasiona, the CEO and founder, led a rebranding initiative that put real faces behind the brand to build customer trust. This strategy paid off, and soon, more people began to feel confident about buying Alta shoes online.
In 2022, Alta Philippines expanded its presence by launching on Shopee, which significantly boosted credibility. Thanks to countless positive reviews and overwhelming support from loyal Filipino customers, the brand thrived. That same year, in December 2022, Alta Philippines proudly opened its flagship store in San Mateo, Rizal.
With increasing recognition came accolades:
